StageVO began as the system that runs ATCO, a maker of material handling equipment for steel, power and mining plants. It is now a product of Yudiserve Technologies, offered to every business that gets paid in stages.
Why it exists
The work was done well. The money came in late.
At ATCO, a single order can run for eighteen months and be paid in eight instalments: an advance, drawing approval, raw material, dispatch, delivery, erection, commissioning and, a year later, retention. Each payment depended on someone noticing that a stage had been reached.
The tracker was a spreadsheet, a folder of PDFs and a few people's memories. Nothing connected a stage finished on the shop floor to the money it had just unlocked. StageVO does exactly that.
The work was always done well. The money came in late, because a claim depended on somebody noticing that a stage had been reached.
